New Egg Laying Plant Planned Near La Porte City

Elevator Holds 26th Annual Stockholders Meeting
A crowd of about 352 stockholders gathered in the La Porte City Co op Elevator annual meeting at the high school gym. Merlin Fehl presided as board president and Lee Kline spoke. Kline is Farm Director for WHO in Des Moines. An audit through April 30 shows 140000 more in sales and total assets of 503921.47. Stockholders earned roughly 7 percent on their investment. Prizes were awarded to several winners. Keith Anton and Bob Linde were elected to districts for three years, with Gary Wilt re-elected. other board members listed.
