They posted a 46 to win ahead of Don Richards and Mrs Joyce Langford who scored 47. Dinner guests of Mr and Mrs J R C Estep included Mrs Estep's sisters and families and relatives from Cedar Rapids Washington DC Waterloo and Wisconsin.
Arrangements completed for the annual summer swimming program for local youth. Supt Hueld D Mitt announces sessions begin July 29 at Gates Park pool. Girls swim Wednesdays and boys Thursdays at MCA noon Waterloo. cost covered, bring suit and towel. YMCA hosts free swims. Joes Ugh school faculty to supervise.
Four local boys chosen to attend the 1952 4-H short course at Iowa State College Ames plan to study Loyal Citizenship through talks on military service and farm demonstrations. Attendees include Kenneth Stahnke Norbert Deiagar Richard Sehneider Peter Brusten and Allen Christian with county youth staff Ivan Wikner and Paul Barger coordinating. The event features demonstrations on telephone communications physical fitness manners and a schedule of lectures and elected officers.
