Well Known Resident Daniel Belcher Dies After Fifty Years Here
Daniel Webster Belcher born May 20 1889 in New York state died after long illness at his Iowa home where he had lived nearly half a century. He married Sarah Jane Bruce on March 17 1907 and leaves wife two daughters Georgia Belcher of this city and Mrs Wm Karabis of Waterloo, plus one granddaughter. Funeral Friday at 2 oclock from the late home with Rev Er Clements of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be in West View cemetery.

Joseph Martin Dies in Vinton After Long Illness
Joseph Martin born February 14 1822 in Oshkosh Wisconsin died in Vinton Iowa last Sunday after years of poor health. He left Mendota Illinois at 23 to follow his uncle, married Harriet Peart in 1898 and had four children. Survived by two brothers and two sisters, services were held at the family home in Vinton with burial in the local cemetery.
