Mrs Inez Gilmer left yesterday for Carroll Texas to be present at the instructory in the Order of the Eastern Star. The event takes place Thursday and Friday to benefit those in the Eastern Star. Gilmer will teach the twelfth district and include Lyra Chapter members in her work during her third year in this office. She returns home Saturday.
The Spring Creek Farin Bureau held its January 13 gathering at the home of Mr and Mrs Geo Howrey. A short program featured selections by an Indies and men quartet. Talks covered Farm Labor Law amendments and farm relief measures. Oysters were served as refreshments.
