Local cooperative elevator members joined 2,000 FGDA delegates at the Farmers Grain Dealers Association of Iowa annual meeting January 24 25. The group heard FGDA General Manager Charles W Hanson report a record 144 million bushels of corn and soybeans marketed for area elevators last year generating over 1.6 million dollars in net earnings. FGDA, founded in 1904, operates grain terminals in Town Indiana and New Orleans, plus a Mason City soybean processing plant.
