Auto Registration Law Changed
Charles Sinclair, Director, Motor Vehicle Registration Division, Department of Public Safety, says that 1972 plates and envelopes were issued before a law requiring the registration card to be displayed in the driver's compartment. Current law only requires the card to be signed and carried, and shown to peace officers on request.
