A United Press bulletin reports 35 dead in the Wall Street explosion. Investigators focus on Edward Fischer, a former French High Commission employee who warned of danger before Sept 15. Police seek a wagon driver, reward $10,000 offered. markets resume normal operations.
Federal investigators concluded the New York Wall Street blast resulted from a red plot. Warnings of an attack led to tightened guard on the treasury building White House and other federal properties as Justice and Treasury agents, with support from military intelligence and agriculture explosive experts, intensified nationwide raids and investigations for radical links.
United Press dispatch from Hamilton Ontario reports a police action linking Robert Tope to Edward Fischer amid an explosion in New York City's financial district. Tope claims Fischer was not in the city when the blast occurred and says Fischer’s mental state has been unstable for weeks, with Tepe confirming a recent arrest at a lawyers’ office following Tope’s arrival from Niagara Falls.
Authorities from Justice, Secret Service, Treasury, Post Office inspectors and agricultural experts rushed to the scene after a bombing near the United States subtreasury. Attorney General Palmer ordered the probe with William Flynn traveling to New York. Officials cite a possible radical plot as they tighten security and consider resuming wartime measures to guard the building.
Civic club led by President Mrs. G. M. Kolb will stage a Saturday afternoon bulbs sale at the north entrance of the Empres a theater on the public square. Iris and peonies from a reputable seed house will be available with planting guidance for buyers. If successful, a shrubbery sale may follow soon.
Everly Tenney aged 29 and Cecil Blackywell aged 18 were arrested in Bridgeport Ul and charged with stealing Earl Hinkle's automobile from this city. They pleaded guilty and were arraigned in circuit court Thursday and sentenced to from ix to five years in the reformatory at Jeffersonville.
John Stone, 40, and his son William R. Store, 18, joined the army together at the recruiting station in Evansville on September 17. Both men enlisted as part of a family pair signing up to serve.

Greensburg district records first woman preacher, Mrs. Joseph Campbell, widow of a deceased minister.
A surprise party was hosted at Charles Romerhausen's home Thursday evening for Hulda Romerhausen on her birthday. Attendees included Mrs Emma Schieter and family, Henry Romerhausen and family, Fred Cooper and family, Peter Reinefort and daughters Ida and India, Edward Haseelbrink and family Cedrge Mildred Haseelbrink, John and Hulda Relater Ed and Ben Block, John and William Graper, Fred Throne Ora Martin Chrise Krnee Edwin and Hugo Kruse. Refreshments were served and the hosts organized games and music.

An eyewitness reporter recounts yesterday’s blast in New York’s financial district. He describes a yellow green smoke plume above the Morgan Bank, shattered windows, burning wreckage, and many wounded and dead along Wall Street Nassau and Broad streets. Ambulances and volunteers rushed to aid victims.
Mrs. James Pierce living east of the city received a fracture to her left wrist Friday morning when she fell from a buggy and struck a concrete walk on Hast Monroe Street. Despite great pain she rode unassisted to a physician’s office where the fracture was reduced. She then went to her sister’s home on West Walnut Street to rest.
