A class of five Grace Garret Robert Emerson Laurie Simpson Grace McDevit and Maxine Montgomery will aim for the Grand Gold Medal on September 24 at Francisco. The winner will travel to Hammond Ind October 6 to compete in a four state Diamond class. Owensville W C T U and contest superintendent Mrs Daisy Jones praise the program for building confidence in the speakers.
Miss Collis Vernice Sloan left for Indianapolis as a delegate from Gideon county community clubs to the home demonstration department at the state fair next week. Sloan will stay ten days and is a member of Walnut Grove Community Club.
