A large hivelike swarm of honeybees disrupted a Sunday game at Film Branch ball park as the Ft. Branch team played. Fans and players scattered, cries of lie down rang out, and the swarm moved through the outfield before exiting over the south fence.
Starter's Bomb Seeks Victory in Indianapolis 500
Twenty six drivers are set to start the Indianapolis 500 on a brick oval with a 20,000 dollar prize for the winner and 1,400 to tenth place plus 100 per lap. Eddie Rickenbacker paced drivers before the start as thousands traveled from across the country to the speedway grounds.
