Police conducted a Saturday night raid on the Davis residence at Water and West streets uncovering a pint of liquor and a trunk with several bottles. Frank Davis and James Kern were taken into custody on liquor law violation charges after a two week surveillance. Both men posted bonds as hearings were not yet scheduled.

McClurkin Stricken at Church in Princeton
James C. MacClurkin, a well known resident now in St. Louis, fell ill Sunday morning while at United Presbyterian services in Princeton. He was taken to a hotel and then moved to Methodist Hospital where his condition improved. He is living with daughter Mrs Louis Dahrenbert and Dr Dahrenbert.
