A 14 year old boy was arrested at 4am by Officers Shannon and King inside the F J Biggs drug store after a chase. He allegedly had entelopes and small items in his possession and had entered Lucas Furniture earlier by a rear window. He arrived in the city well dressed with a suitcase containing silk shirts and other clothes believed stolen. Authorities are tracing the boy’s home as detectives review Wednesday’s activities and watch for more clues.
More than 30,000 soldiers due to arrive by night with seven transports carrying 335,363 troops. Imperator and Leviathan led the crossing from Brest racing across the Atlantic. weather slows other ships near Sandy Hook awaiting passage.

More than 100 Elks members and volunteers started a Salvation Army Home Service fund drive at 1 30 PM visiting every Princeton home. Returned soldiers in uniform aided the appeal with Lt Samsel and local Salvation Army leaders supervising. The city was divided into districts and completion was expected within three hours with remaining county quotas covered by rural canvassing.
The trial of Walter Hicks of Mt. Carmel for grand larceny in slashing Russell Hill at the fair grounds has been postponed indefinitely. It will likely be held when Hill recovers enough to attend.

The Guy Players perform all next week in their tent theater at Wong and Broadway. It marks their first local appearance in years and they promise New Playa and vaudeville acts each night. Mr. Guy is noted as a Princeton favorite.
Mrs. Emme Hill learned her son Rid o Bill arrived at Camp Upton New York from overseas. Soldier Hill left Princeton with Company M but was transferred to Company B82 division and served overseas acting in the capacity of cook for several months.
