Paris May 16 United Press reports grave dangers in the peace settlement as nations stay warlike. The question of Fiume remains unsettled while Italians, not demobilizing, occupy contested territory and may resist evacuation under a League of Nations framework.
A Thursday evening service at St Josephs Church in Indianapolis confirmed 102 persons led by the Right Rev Bishop Chart D D. The large class marked one of the biggest confirmations ever held at the church and drew a sizable congregation.
The Dixie Bee Line Association meeting planned for May 4 at Evansville has been postponed to a date in June. Members seek better road conditions for travel and a proper time to inspect roads. The move is seen as potentially unwise if roads should be in good condition during the usual inspection season.

The Democrat presents statements from Farmers Bank and People American Bank of this city for the period ending May 12. Citizens Trust and Savings Co. appeared in Thursday’s issue. The Princeton Bank shows excellent condition with increasing business across publications.
Final payments on Liberty Loan Bonds are due and payable before May 20. Bondholders who have made only partial payments should contact banks before the due date.
