A Princeton woman searched Mount Carmel carnival grounds for her daughter and a man described as principals in an athletic show. After failing to locate them she alerted Chief Roy Dortrecht. The mother said the daughter, married with two children, was taken to Evansville with the showman, and the couple may have escaped into Indiana. The woman returned to Princeton next morning.

The Rouble Six club postponed its Monday evening meeting to a later date. A Walnut Grove schoolhouse pie supper Thursday raised a neat charity sum with Minnie Weist as cake winner and Ottis Blackard as boy prize recipient. The Woman’s Christian Temperance Union held a May meeting at Mrs A R McGregor’s home. treasurer’s report showed good finances and eighty seven members in good standing. A leaflet read by Mrs Wilson from Gibson Street Methodist church featured The Man Who Died For Me and Rev M S McMillan spoke on The Responsibility of Our Government For the Sending Of Intoxicating at quarto Teethen Countries. The meeting adjourned with prayer by the same minister.
