Princeton announces its fourth Field Day for Friday at the Gibson County fairgrounds. Fourteen hundred pupils will parade from Main and Water streets to the fairgrounds, with police special traffic rules and a mass singing of America. A ten cent general admission supports incidental expenses, with exhibits from city classes displayed on the public square.

Washington May 10 The attorney general ruled that senate candidates may spend unlimited sums in the fall without filing campaign receipts and expenditures. He based the decision on the Newbery case which voided provisions of the corrupt practices act as it applies to senatorial candidates.

No Desire For Women Jurors In Local Court Hearings
Mayor Niemeier presided over city court cases of Fred Hill and John Red Lance, arrested for liquor violations Monday night. Each was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to 60 days on the state penal farm, with bonds posted and appeals to Gibson Circuit Court. Lance sought a jury but waived. two bottles of white mule and other liquor were exhibited, and the liquor was locked in the city safe pending appeals.

Beckham Cobb a 23 year old Oklahoma A and M College student from Birmingham Alabama was shot four times on a street near campus and died instantly. Earl E Gordon of Miami Oklahoma a fellow student was arrested by Sheriff O R Lillie and held in jail by the time Cobb's body was found a revolver lay at his side Gordon provided no statement beyond Cobb "was after" him and no charges had yet been filed.
