The Mothers' Jewels of the First Methodist Church will hold a 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon meeting at the church. Frank O'Neal spent Friday in Evansville with friends.
U S officials say Germany’s reply closes the submarine dispute with Germany. President Wilson has the official text. no comment from the White House. No presidential reply expected, but Secretary Lansing may issue a statement outlining key points, noting Germany’s order to restrict submarine attacks to warships.
The Ransford Club will meet at the Masonic Temple Monday afternoon at 2 30 o clock. All Eastern Star ladies invited.

John McBride a Sinn Fein leader and eighth rebel executed in Dublin today. Two other leaders were sentenced to death but commuted to life imprisonment. McBride had fought with the Boers in the Boer War and toured the United States before returning to Dublin under amnesty. Reports say James M. Sullivan, former US minister to Santo Domingo, was arrested but may be released if no evidence is found.
The Democrat reports three Princeton banks show solid growth over the past quarter. Farmers Bank posts 744,201.97 in business, Peoples-American Bank hits 1,110,738.16, and Citizens Trust and Savings Bank reaches 285,418.60. All indicate a high volume of business and favorable conditions. figures are on page four.
Managers plan to send a large Indiana delegation to the National Convention in St Louis from June 14 to 18. Hundreds will travel via special trains and low-rate travel to boost Indiana's interests. Princeton and Gibson county groups expect to attend while seats and hotel reservations are arranged for all attendees.
The Yankee Girl, Blanche Ring in a Morosco production, debuts on screen with a strong cast including Lew Fields and George Beban. Ring has drawn praise for her impersonation of Margaret Anglin and her skill in comedy and romance scenes. Vernon Castle appears in a minor role as the New Star shows it tonight.

Three Patoka men Wright Burton and Johnson were fined one dollar and costs and each sentenced to 60 days at the Penal Farm for stealing chickens between Evansville and Ft Branch. Burton and Wright had their sentences remitted on good behavior, but Johnson remained at the farm.
