More Books Needed for Wounded Soldiers Library Drive

Encouraging Outlook for Gibson County Victory Bonds Drive

Deaths George Pettiford in Princeton at 45
George Pettiford died Saturday morning at his home on M12 north Gibson street after a stroke. He was 45 and a prominent Princeton colored citizen. He is survived by wife Mrs Emma Watson Pettiford and three sons Fred of Springfield Frank who recently returned from France George Jr in France and Ruth at home. three half-brothers and two half-sisters. He belonged to the Colored Methodist Episcopal church.
