Verdict may trigger appeal bond in Kell case

Auto Truck Struck by Train at Main and Chestnut Crossing
A Princeton Gardens truck driven by Tony Russo and Tony Whitten was struck by Southern train No. 24 at the Main and Chestnut street crossing as it entered the Southern station at 1 PM. The truck overturned, its two rear wheels smashed, but neither occupant was seriously injured. The crossing gang did not ring, and obstructed view from the Henneberger ice plant delayed the train, with slow-moving rain preventing a worse outcome.
