Mildred Harris Chaplin announces she will wait a year for her estranged husband Charles Chaplin to return and rekindle their romance. She says she will not sue Charlie and believes his conscience is hurting him for past actions.

Indiana releases a report by the board of state charities showing 1,020 epileptics in public institutions. Of these, 266 in state hospitals for the insane, 212 in feeble minded schools, 371 at the Village for Epileptics, and 171 in county poor asylums. Ages range from under 16 to over 45, with 602 men and boys and 418 women and girls. Eighty five counties represented at the village. plans call for expansion to house all needing care.
Francisco bank narrowly survives an attempted daylight robbery. A mysterious man inquired about capital stock and left, claiming to be a junk dealer. Robbers used a gas torch and burned upholstery to shield light, leaving burnt matches and damaged gear. Sheriff and chief pursue leads as bank resumes business.
Paul Little 12-year-old son of Robert Little, a wealthy livestock raiser and turfman, was abducted yesterday in Kentucky. Police and Ohio officers hunted for the boy as a note threatened to kill him unless $25,000 was left at a designated spot. A description is limited to the clues given by the boy's companions. Little had offered to pay the ransom.
L. C. McFetridge, leader of the Mc Kerridge Buick Co, departed on Thursday, signaling a key change at the dealership. No further details provided on the reasons or future steps.

Lovis Miller a 38 year old tramp died at the county infirmary from an overdose of morphine. Coroner's inquest found about a twelve grain dose taken from morphine tablets used for pleurisy. Authorities note Miller may have acted from mental and physical distress and was seen attempting to access the tablets the night before. His body lies at Radcliff Calvin morgue pending shipment to a medical college. He had no relatives.
In Terre Haute Indiana March 25 sixteen Island Valley coal mine workers one mile north of Jasonville suffered serious burns from a gas explosion as they prepared to leave the shaft after work. Injured include Jasonville residents Robert and Lester Wallace Earl meats William Bickel Elvin Price George and Alexander Gardener Ernest Kelly Howesville John Shaniders Lewis Shad Inman Al Morris and four Williams boys.
Worenz Kitten 79 of Ferdinand Indiana inventor of the Kitten Traction engine and threshing machine dies after long illness. He designed a hill climbing engine for southern Indiana and owned Fernand Foundry and Machine Works. Estate valued around $100000. A noted traveler who attended every major national exposition since Philadelphia.
Mr and Mrs Johi Spence entertained the East Broadway Club Tuesday evening at their home in north Hart Street with cards and music. A buffet lunch was served after the enjoyable gathering.

Indianapolis March 25 The Indiana Federation of Farmers Association marks its first anniversary as 83 counties affiliate and 55 000 members. Officials aim for 75 000 by spring drive and 100 000 before November convention. A statewide township meeting and cooperative livestock reporting plan with the Department of Agriculture will be explained.
American marines landed at Kai kiang at the British consul's request to quell fighting between Chinese policemen and coolies. They later withdrew after local authorities asked for withdrawal. Dispatches say resentment toward Americans and British runs high in the area.
