Thomas Butterworth died this morning at 2: o'clock in Methodist Hospital at 87 from complications of diseases. Funeral Thursday at 9:00 at St Joseph Church, conducted by Rev Hagsel, burial in church cemetery. He lived in the city nineteen years and worked as a boilermaker. Survived by two brothers, John and William.

Ferry Hazelton to resume service after rising river
The Hazelton ferry operator Overton Decker announced the ferry will be in operation Thursday as the White River recedes after reaching 21 feet on Monday. Tramp Lamis Miller Dies of Heart Disease
Lamis Miller aged 88 died of heart disease early Tuesday at the county poor farm after being found near coal mining and sent to the county infirmary. He came from Huntingburg en route to Evansville and had no living relatives. The body will be sent to Indiana University medical school.
