A Bolshevik dispatch claims advances toward Novorossisk with 6,008 prisoners and twenty guns seized. In the Yekaterinodar region 15,600 prisoners were taken along with many guns and substantial booty.
Admiral Sims testified that Admiral Benson warned him not to let Britain pull its wool over their eyes as the United States prepared to enter WWI. Sims said the warning came during a navy conference before sailing for Europe, with Chairmen Hays corroborating. He declined to name officers and noted Benson later led the Shipping Board.
Southside barber Al Fisher, a veteran of wars, has announced a meeting of baseball fans at his shop on Seminary street Tuesday night at 7 30. He will be president and treasurer of a new baseball organization to elect a manager and sign up players. A southside team is planned for the south side park with possible move east and batting north to be discussed.
A stated meeting of Prince Lodge No. 234 F A M is set for March 23. Al M Mrs invited. Special is noted. G F Kilmartin serves as secretary.
Prof. John W. Pettijohn director and Prof. Walter S. Butler associate director of Indiana University extension division have been appointed as special collaborators by the United States Bureau of Education. They will conduct experiments in adult education and direct home creating work in Indiana. Leaves of absence were granted to Pettijohn Bitner and Miss Mary B Orvis for Washington work.
At the Johnson township teachers institute in Haubstadt on Saturday teachers adopted a resolution urging the county board of education to adopt the state board’s new wage scale. Trustees report funds shortfall with the school term shortened by two weeks to seven and a half months.
The $10,000 damage case brought by Andrew P. Carey against the city of Princeton was moved to the probate court in Evansville on Saturday. Carey alleges the city's disposal of sewage into a septic tank near his home west of the city created unhealthful conditions as stated in the complaint.
The city council holds a special meeting at the police headquarters room to discuss sewer work tying into the South Heinz factory on South Mair street. Mayor Shubert announces the session as part of city chamber events with the American Legion smoker evening.
The American Legion invites all members to a smoker at city hall council chambers tonight. Soldiers of the city are guests of the legion. Questions about legion work will be answered. An executive committee meeting may follow to discuss important matters.
The revival at the first Nazarene church on East Emerson Street is attracting large crowds. Rev. R L Morgan, a successful evangelist, delivers plain gospel preaching and promises strong spiritual blessings for Princeton. Meetings will be held each evening at 7:00.
United Mine Workers District 11 president Edward Stewart and other union officials were arrested in Terre Haute with bonds set at 10061 dollars. Vincennes miners Dick McQuade John Little and Robert Perry were released on 5000 dollar bonds. Indictments stem from a federal coal strike probe during wartime.
London papers mourn the American senate's action described as a final rejection of the peace treaty. They warn the move will have global seriousness for world peace and note little chance the pact will influence the upcoming presidential campaign.
Berlin March 22 The ministry of defense says the death toll across Germany since last Saturday has reached 3000. President Ebert moves troops from South Germany against the Spartacists in the Ruhr Valley and warns he will attack unless the vedS relinquish control.
Berlin officials said Gustav Noske would stay as defense minister as the Ebert government considers handling Spartican outbreaks. Despite a still effective general strike, officials expect a return to normal. Independent Socialists reportedly demand concessions and Radicals form councils to decide on unions' move to end the strike.
Berlin dispatch reports the American mission in Berlin delivering a note to Premier Bauer stating the United States cannot provide further food to Germany should a soviet government come to power.

Instructions for women’s Auxiliaries are sent after national committee approval and new membership buttons are issued.
United Press reports that about 1 060 000 workers will be affected by strikes lockouts and wage disputes this year based on labor department records. The records show 2 300 000 strike incidents in the fiscal year with losses to workers potentially reaching 80 million dollars. In 1919 losses were larger and 68 percent of labor disputes referred to the department were still in controversy. Wage contracts expire in April and May.

Funeral Wednesday at Francisco Baptist Church with Providence Cemetery burial.
Col Dan Morgan Smith former commander of the Battalion of Death in the 358th Infantry spoke at United Presbyterian Church urging prohibition and praising American soldiers. He emphasized leadership loss in battle and described the 358th as heroically reduced in numbers after fierce combat, earning its grim nickname.
Reports say the Wabash River near Terre Haute is stabilizing after fears of a repeat 1913 flood lessen. Forecasters predict the Ohio River at Evansville may reach the 43 foot stage in a few days while the Patoka River continues to rise slowly.
