Principal Cockrum announces Princeton high school will present The Fire Prince as an amateur operetta, featuring fourteen principals and a chorus of fifty students. The high school orchestra will provide music, with performances planned for two nights, Thursday and Friday, next week.
City council caucus Saturday reviewed the north side sewer project and discussed the Heinz factory sewer. Officials expect the matter to be raised again in tonight's regular session.
Evansville officials report Princeton Elks lodge will build a larger home this year with a choice between adding to the current building at about 30000 dollars or buying new property to erect a new lodge at about 80000 dollars. Architects Fowler Capelle Troutman prepared plans for both options. A municipal swimming pool for Princeton is also planned, sized 100 by 40 feet with dressing rooms a cafeteria and a spectators balcony. The pool cost is put at 18000 to 20000 dollars and may be used year round if demand justifies expansion.
In Lincoln Nebraska on March 15 William J Bryan stated he would feel duty bound to consider a presidential nomination if demanded under certain conditions. He said he does not seek the nomination but would aid progressive Democrats at the national convention to oppose reactionaries and saloon friends.
El Paso March 15. Fighting between Villista forces and Carranza troops halted train service in a border district. Villistas along the border claim the rebel leader has begun a new military campaign. Mr and Mrs Don Stormont and daughter Margarite Catherine visited Evansville Sunday evening.
Reports from Dresden and Berlin indicate a split in political power with liberal and north German groups backing the revolutionaries. The Ebert government rejects negotiations and mobilizes in Kiel Essen and Frankfurt while Noske coordinates opposition. A general railway strike in Munich boosts the unrest as radicals declare a soviet government and the national assembly is slated for Staattbart.
The French foreign office reports the national dissolution has been received. No further details are provided in the bulletin.
A Hague report states neither the former German ruler nor the Crown Prince are implicated in the overthrow. Both reside under close guard at Ameron Castle and Wieringen inland. J B Kan, Holland secretary-general tasked with guarding them, is in conference with the justice minister after home ministry talks.
The Senate adopted the Lodge substitute reservation to Article 10 of the League of Nations covenant. It then rejected Frelinghuysen's reservation to the covenant in a 17 to 59 vote, with Republican and irreconcilable support. Kirby's Article 10 reservation failed 31 to 45, followed by the Taft reservation, which 40 Democrats had agreed to support, also defeated.
The struggle between Von Kapp revolutionists and the Ebert government for control of Germany has narrowed to a test of political and territorial power. Socialists and Democrats with southern backing support Ebert, while nationalists liberals and northern states tilt toward the revolutionists. Centralists remain aloof and pacifist. Late reports say the general strike called by the Ebert government continues to spread.
United Press reports Berlin and other cities divided between the new revolutionary government and the Ebert administration. Violent clashes in Essen Kiel and Frankfurt left about thirty dead and many wounded as stores looted and services disrupted. Noske reportedly forming an army to confront the revolution.
In Coblenz on March 15 the American commander told Socialist leaders no general strike or public demonstration would be allowed and warned that the army would act if followers could not be controlled. Rhineland railway workers have decided to join the general strike in sympathy with the old government despite military orders.
President Wilson and the state department adopt a policy of watchful waiting as indications of the course to be taken by the allies in the German upheaval. Attention focuses on today’s meeting at Mayence between Marshall Foch and Major Henry T. Allen, commander of the American army of occupation in Germany.

March 15. Building trades unions will not strike over division of work as an arbitration backed settlement is announced at the American Federation of Labor headquarters. A representative board will settle jurisdiction questions and assignments will continue indefinitely with arbitration for future disputes.
A smoke stack at the R V Moore Milling Co on Embree Street was blown down in Monday morning gale. Aside from this, no major damage was reported in the city as strong winds rattled houses and cleared streets of leaves and scraps of paper.
Elks lodge announces supper night for Wednesday March 17 at 7 00 with Abe Martin and Bill Herschell as guests. The notice notes oyster shells used in Portland cement along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
The United States government will sell surplus medicines and hospital supplies through the zone supply office in Jeffersonville Indiana. The sale runs from March 5 to April 5 or until stock is exhausted. Buyers may request a price list by writing to the Jeffersonville office.
