Heffington Suit Gets a Set Back in Evansville Case
Judge Vandeever granted the city of Evansville a new trial in the slip and fall suit brought by Mrs Vlora Teffington over injuries on a sidewalk. The ruling found the sidewalk slope slight and the photographs insufficient to show the true condition for jurors. The verdict previously returned against the city is thus set aside and a new trial ordered.

First City Dentist Dr Lot H Pumphrey Dies
Dr Lot H Pumphrey longtime Princeton dentist and Civil War veteran died at his home March 12 at age 75. Born March 28 1842 in Springfield Hancock County Indiana he served as First Sergeant and Second Lieutenant in the 124th Indiana Infantry. He practiced dentistry in Princeton since 1866 and was married to Mary L Vance with three children Frank Laura and Percy. Funeral at his North Race Street home Sunday at 2 30 conducted by Reverend Flynn.
