In Washington on March 21 senators planned a vote on ratifying the peace treaty with reservations. Leaders were expected to firm up details on Article 10 and whether the Lodge reservation or a substitute would be included. The decision on Simmons Watson reservations would determine if they are offered or abandoned.
Scoutmaster Charles T. Miller announced that the St. Joseph Catholic church troop will resume scout work next week. The troop had 24 members when Miller volunteered for service, and he believes a second troop may be formed due to renewed interest after the war.
United Press reports that new measures at the peace conference were considered a certainty and will probably be accepted. James Anderson known as Jimmie Anderson, 55 to 60, died after a coal fall at his wagon mine southeast of Oakland City. He was crushed and suffered multiple injuries, dying at home about seven hours after the accident. Survived by a widow, two daughters Freda and Olive, and stepson Scott Withers. previously mine boss in Oakland City and later in Francisco.

F M Byrum of east State street learns by telegram of the death of his father James Byrum in Seattle Washington on Wednesday. Burial will be in Seattle. James Byrum 76 a Civil War veteran with service in the 38th Indiana Volunteers. Surviving are two sons M F Byrum of this city and John Byrum of Seattle. three daughters Mrs E B Wilkes of Dallas Texas and Mrs John Cunningham and Mrs George Fulling of Seattle. one brother Stephen Byrum of Vincennes and several Byrums in Oklahoma and elsewhere.
Albert Williams was born November 3, 1919 and died March 4, 1920. He leaves his father and mother, four sisters Lydia Leona Elizabeth Charlotte, and two brothers James and Lester. Funeral services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery conducted by Rev. Pat tick of Patoka, White River News.

Participants include Herbert Graetz Ruskin Swan Lowell Taylor and Robert Cushman. Top scorer earns a chance at the county discussion and further elimination leads to the district and state contests.
Ruth Randall died after shooting her lover Clifford Bleyer who was killed earlier. The bodies lay in caskets as a white haired woman placed violets on Ruth Randall’s coffin. Coroner reports say Randall killed her lover about half a day before taking her own life.
