A World dispatch from New York describes alleged German acts against U S troops in a hospital report. Alfred B. Sykes of the division sanitary corps recounted twelve infantrymen captured on a night patrol who returned the next night with both eyes gouged out and sometimes loss of hands and legs. The government has not issued an official atrocity report.
The farmers engineering course closed this afternoon with demonstrations of tractor pulling power and talks on lubrication and ignition of gasoline engines by several experts. Attendance both days exceeded expectations and the tractor tests drew exceptional interest.
The funeral for Milburn Reneer will be at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Mt Tabor Church Wheeling. Pastor Rev William McRobarts will conduct the service with interment in the church cemetery.
The funeral for Mrs. Sarah Agnes Pierce will take place at 2 o clock Saturday afternoon at the late residence on Lincoln street. The Rev W M Whitsitt of the First Methodist church will conduct the service and the body will be buried in the White church cemetery.

Roe Coulter and family, long-time residents near Knowles Station, moved their household goods on Wednesday to the Churchmans Farm northeast of the city where they will reside in the future.
The First District superintendents gathered in Princeton with County Superintendent L S Cunningham to discuss school matters. They visited Baldwin Heights and the Farmers Engineering Course after a morning tour and afternoon meeting. Present were Brehens Posey Hemmer Van derburg Robinson Spencer Stras sel and Brenton.
Mr and Mrs Fred Lautenslager of east Spruce street received word from sons Raymond and Ralph at Camp Shelby Hattiesburg Mississippi that they would be home Sunday on a short furlough their mother and father announced Thursday night the news brought in a brief family note from the base camp.

Marshall Garrison aged 81 died at the home of his daughter Mrs George Rhinefort Owensville Ind after a three week illness. Funeral at Rhinefort home Saturday at 10 conducted by Rev A A Schoultz. Interment in Odds Fellows cemetery Princeton. Casket to be opened at the grave. Surviving are three sons Sanford Garrison Princeton Alice Garrison Princeton and Jesse Garrison Iowa and one daughter Mrs George Rhinefort Owensville.
A son, Virl Eugene, was born Tuesday evening to Mr and Mrs Frank Shoaf of south Hall street. A son, John Austin Olds, weighing eleven pounds, was born Friday morning to Mr and Mrs Elijah Olds of Center Township.
Miss Merie Weigand and Arnold Selzer of Evanaville spent Friday in the city as guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Broeg on North Race street. Mr. Selzer will leave next week for Fort McArthur in Waco Texas where he plans to proceed with prior arrangements.
The Princeton Goals company must sell coal at fixed local wagon trade prices at the mine. Nut coal goes for 2.90 per ton or 11 1 2 cents per bushel, pea and slack 2.40 per ton or 9 4-2 cents per bushel. Only these varieties are available due to loading limits. The price includes 15 cents per ton jobbers’ profit and 10 cents per ton weighing and handling, with the fuel administration still deciding if the jobbers’ profit is lawful. The Deep Vein Coal company in Terre Haute is said to order all output, raising questions of consolidation and profit permissibility.
Hundreds of Hog Island shipyard workers strike in Philadelphia demanding double pay for holidays and Saturday afternoons. Officials claim 3,000 walked out while Admiral Bowles cites fewer than 1,800. An afternoon conference aimed to avert a yard shutdown and arbitration is expected to settle the dispute.

Parents of Corporal Homer Kessner receive a letter from Captain R S Munford expressing deep regret at his death at Camp Shelby. The captain commends Homer's character and soldierly qualities, noting quick drills in Jeffersonville and predicting promotion in the machine gun company. Munford sends regards to the parents and hopes to display Homer's likeness aboard.
Samuel Zimmerman of 921 South Prince Street was struck by a car driven by Joshua Kitchin near Haubstadt on South Gibson Street this morning. Zimmerman suffered a painful but not serious injury to his ankle while talking with Street Commissioner Tichenor. he was taken home by Kitchin and a physician was called.
Miss Eunice Austin of Evansville is spending a few days here with her mother Mrs. Ida Austin.
Mrs. Nath Reisman of South Prince Street has shown some improvement after a period of illness while remaining at her home.
Four city captains in Princeton lead a cleanup drive to locate residents who have not bought Thrift or War Saving Stamps. They will form canvassing teams to visit households starting March 1 to push 100 percent participation, urging purchases at banks or the post office and cueing families to sign up cards.
