Five Trainmen Injured In Head On Freight Collision
Two Southern freight trains collided on a curve near Hight's Chapel crossin east of Princeton at 2 45 pm injuring five crew members. Brakeman Slifer engineer Murphy flagman Alcorn fireman Angle and engineer Swarens suffered back neck shoulder and foot injuries but all survived. Ambulances took Slifer Murphy and Alcorn to Methodist hospital while Angle and Swarens were sent home. Most injuries were from jumping to avoid the crash. Train crews from Princeton and Huntingburg areas affected.
