Charles and Vergil Goodson were arraigned before Judge Vande Veer on charges of stealing chickens after officers learned of related parcel post thefts. Both pleaded guilty to poultry theft and were sentenced to the Indiana Boys' School. Investigators continue to search for missing merchandise.

A Hobart man is under arrest on a charge of assault and battery filed by his wife. He is expected to be arraigned in circuit court today.

Washington D C March 6 The senate opposition to the league of nations constitution launches a countrywide campaign. Senator Borah will address the Society of Arts and Sciences in New York on Saturday and then speak in Boston. Other senators plan similar tours to press their view that the proposed league as drafted in Paris should not be joined. Borah argues America should stay out of permanent alliances with foreign nations.
A majority Socialist delegation returned from Weimar with the national council's consent to pursue partial recognition of the Soviet. Hope was expressed that this would satisfy rebels who promote Russian grain shipments if a German Soviet republic is established.

The Rev. M. P. Rimmer pastor of the Church of God was arrested on a criminal libel charge filed by Mrs. Lola Morton of 1034 Stormont avenue. He waived arraignment, pleaded not guilty, and posted bond. the case to be heard later amid a divided congregation.

Unconfirmed word said armed bands moved toward Weimar to loot.
