In Grand Rapids Michigan on March 3 District Judge Sessions dismissed fifteen more respondents in the Newberry conspiracy trial after earlier dismissals on Tuesday. The government’s case loses momentum as dismissals reduce the pool of defendants.
Work starts on the Joseph Carithers buildings housing Lucas Furniture Store and Alva Levi Clothing Store. The remodeling adds modern fronts large display windows a basement for furniture booths and a horseshoe balcony. Three thousand extra square feet will be added to the Lucas store making it highly up to date.
Chicago March 3. Reconstruction of railroads under private operation has begun. Railroad supply houses report orders delayed by thirty to sixty days. Hugh Galdwell won the Seattle mayoralty by 16,801 votes over James A. Dimean in the city's most bitterly contested election, with Caldwell polling 50,850 and Dimean 34,049. In Vermont, complete returns showed liquor favored by at least 100 of 248 towns voting in annual elections.
No. 75 ran east yesterday under Conductor Crecelius. The supply car returns from February service. Crews include Conductor Skelton and Flagman Skelton on No.52 with Brakeman Toole. Several workers, including Francis Stoll and YT. R. Cato, resume or take short layoffs. Freight engine 48 left shop for service after repairs.
A free entertainment for tomato growers will be held at the Elks Home this Saturday March 6 at 1 30 PM. Moving pictures on tomato growing and Heinz production will be shown alongside a lecture titled Tomato Growing From Seed to Harvest. Seed distribution will occur during the meeting and all local tomato growers for the new Heinz plant are urged to attend.
W. 4H Baker of Lyons Greene county Ind won the Farm Journal bronze medal and 250 cash prize for the third highest corn yield in 1919. His 112.7 bushels per acre at 15.5 percent moisture placed him just short of the second prize by a quarter bushel per acre. First prize went to Missouri 127.5 bushels per acre, second to Ohio 122 bushels. Princeton Chapter No 75 R A M met March 3 1920 with KK M A degree awarded.
Mowry Bros. plan a new flour mill at 927 South Main Street in the McGregor Bottling factory building. The mill, costing 16 000 to 20 000 dollars, will operate by mid next month and employ several workers plus a miller. It will produce 5 barrels daily using a patented process, with two brands Pride of Princeton and Tevo Brand, and will also yield feeds as a by product. The milling machinery arrived Wednesday and is being installed.
Mrs Mary Jenkins wife of Columbus Jenkins died at home near Wheeling at 1 30 this morning from complications of diseases. Funeral Friday at Adkins Chapel conducted by Rev Grover Krieg with burial in Adkins cemetery. Born July 15 1862 she had ten children all living.
Mrs Elizabeth Jordan a 63 year old widow of Basil Jordan died Tuesday night at 8 15 at Thomas Martins home in Patoka after months of illness. Her remains were moved to Radcliff morgue and the funeral set for Thursday at 8 am at St Joseph Church with Rev Father Hassel officiating and burial in Patoka cemetery. She previously lived in Patoka most of her life and is survived by sister Mrs Florence Lucas and three half brothers Richard Calvin and Ben Ellis of Indianapolis.
Katherine Marie Davison daughter of Dr and Mrs D A Davison of east Water street died Wednesday at 2 30 pm after months of ill health. She was 23. Born in Marshall Illinois she moved to this city at 1 1 2 years old. Surviving are her parents a sister Helen and brother Burns. A Princeton high school graduate class of 1915 she attended Oakland City College and Indiana University but left due to health. She worked at the county treasurer office and with A L Maxwell Co and was a missionary in the United Presbyterian church since age twelve. Burial will be in Marshall Illinois and funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Visitors watch as the sticky pulp is pressed and heated to produce a material believed suitable for roofing with by products including stock feed and a translucent inflammable substance.

Mary Pickford Moore was divorced from Owen Moore in Douglas County Nevada. She had been living on a ranch near Genoa since February, with the news learned today. Few persons knew she was in Nevada.
