Mrs Leat Ashby died Monday night at 11 at her Lytes Station home from pneumonia. She was 57. The funeral is set for Wednesday at 2 at Lytes Station Church with burial in Sand Hill cemetery. She is survived by her husband and other relatives.

Thomas J. Boren a 65 year old farmer west of Owensville was badly cut above the right eye when his wagon horses bolted overturning the wagon. He suffered deep gash and minor injuries but no bones were broken and he is resting easier.

Commissioners Let Road Contracts In Montgomery Township
The Montgomery township board awarded two road contracts in regular session. Henry Armstrong won the J. M. Montgomery road bid of 1 2 mile for 5508 with about half grading done. He also secured the Joseph Emerson road of nearly three miles for 34760 connecting Montgomery and Patoka townships. Funds for bond sales will be considered by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
