George L. Letts of Chicago introduces the Redpath chautauqua staff at Princeton with Kenton Letts cashier, Grant Baker gatekeeper, Paul Ludlow electrician and Wingate basketball fame, Arthur Ruaway listed as property man from Tullala Ul.
Dr Carolyn Geisel spoke to a large audience Saturday night at the chanutauqua. The well known health apostle urged men to care for themselves and called for vacations for every worker. Listeners felt the lecture alone justified the ticket price for the week.

Ten picnickers killed and nine injured when a truck carrying Huntingburg residents is struck by Southern No. 5 train west of Huntingburg. Names listed include Ed Rehl and Carrie Rehl, among the dead, with many relatives among the injured. The crash occurs on a sunny Sunday morning as families travel to a picnic.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Walsh host Mr. Walshs brother T M Walsh and wife from New York en route to Chicago for an Elks convention. The group recalls the Southern train wreck near Huntingburg while visiting French Lick. French chamber deputies will vote by desk buttons on a proposed pill law.

Franklin Indiana June 28 Five persons are dead and two more may die after a south bound Toledo Central passenger train struck an auto at a crossing ten miles west of Franklin. Litherland family members aged 39 5 2 12 and an infant were killed. two Litherland children Raymond and Theron survived with injuries. The crossing is described as dangerous and the driver failed to slow or hear the engine whistle.
Sunday saw multiple minor crashes across Gibson county with injuries. Little Helen Neimier was injured by loose barbed wire at a home visit in East Monro e street. In Owensville Isabelle Cox suffered facial cuts and bruises when two cars collided near town. The crash involved Green McCarty driving the other vehicle and Hazel and Ethel Gibson assisting Victoria.
San Francisco June 28 United Press reports movement to nominate William G. McAdoo gained momentum before the Democratic national convention. White House hints claimed McAdoo is the choice, with cabinet members and others signaling support. Rumors said Tammany may desert Cox for a compromise wet plank, and Indiana plans to back Marshall on first ballot with the rest split between McAdoo and Cox.
Mrs Kunigunda Kuhn, 77, died Saturday night at her home in Haubstadt from complications of diseases. Funeral at 8 15 a m Wednesday at St Peters and St Paul church with Rev N J Forve and grandsons Rev Fathers Kemp assisting. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by one son Joseph Kuhn of Baltimore and five daughters Mrs George Specht Evansville Mrs Anthony Schafer Haubstadt Mrs Hartman St Phillips Miss Katherine Kemp at home Sister Blendena of Ferdinand.
A Woodman Circle outing vehicle carried twenty one people to a farm near Huntingburg collided with a passing train. The impact left 19 injured or dead along the track and two survivors escaped as the engineer blew four whistles at the crossing.
The family of Mrs. Joe Kurtz expresses gratitude for kindness during illness and death of their wife and mother. They acknowledge flowers from neighbors and friends and note Mrs. Kurtz's trip to Vincennes to visit relatives and plans to spend the summer in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo McRoberts of Washington township and Mrs. McRoberts sister Miss Barnett were in an auto wreck near Severn's bridge while returning from the city. Their vehicle overturned and occupants were pinned briefly but suffered only minor injuries. Mr McRoberts was thrown clear by the collision with another car, whose occupants' identities were not learned.
Mrs Margaret A Simmons aged 48 died Sunday morning at 12 39 after a stroke of paralysis. Funeral will be Tuesday at 10 at Decker chapel with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband John Simmons and several children.
Farm ers bank cashier Frank Morris has returned home from Tulsa Oklahoma where he had been staying for reasons not stated.
Robert Tyler, 45, a driller at the Shafer well east of Oatsville Indiana, died Sunday afternoon after falling seriously ill about fifteen minutes into his shift. A doctor arrived too late. death was attributed to liver disease. He was married and from Vincennes, Indiana.
