Death of Anderson E Crowe Emphasizes Longtime Gibson County Resident
Anderson E. Crowe died at 4 20 p m Wednesday at his home on south Prince street after a three week illness. Born October 2 1828 he lived an eventful life as a tailor, Civil War veteran, and respected citizen. Funeral Friday at 10 a m from his home with United Presbyterian church pastor officiating. Interment at Archer Cemetery with G A R Post in full attendance. He married Mary McFarland in 1856 and had six children four surviving, including Rose and Anna Crowe. He was a member of Archer Post No 28 G A R and United Presbyterian church.
