William G. McAdoo released a statement from New York asserting his decision not to have his name presented at the San Francisco convention is unrelated to a recent interview with President Wilson. Mr and Mrs John A Thomas former White River News publisher now based in Stamps Ark and running a local paper were in town Tuesday on a flying visit with friends Their hosts included Mrs J H Briner of Hazleton who is Thomas mother during their stay in the county

New York June 22. An inventory of the late Henry C Frick home at Fifth Ave and Seventieth St lists paintings bronzes porcelains and Limoges enamels valued at 10 000 000. Paintings alone total 7 800 000 with rugs furniture and hangings at 1 720 000. Jewelry stands at just over 2 000. The art to be kept for New York under Frick will is supported by a 15 000 000 fund. Personal estate estimated about 77 500 000 with stock holdings at 49 150 211 and bonds with interest at 4 680 526.
At the Princeton Rotary Club meeting a Mt Carmel committee met the local club to finalize plans for a joint picnic between Princeton and Mt Carmel on July 5, noted as a Fourth of July celebration when Sunday falls on the date. Mt Carmel attendees Olen dorf Lescher Smith Townsend joined the meeting along with visitors P C Brownlee and Mr Bowen. Clyde Noble read about the Muck farm now run by Ritterskamp Bros, and guests included J O Hamilton of Manhattan Kas and Teddy Hitch with an outline of chautauqua attractions.
Miss Lulu B Schwin supervisor of Crawfordsville Kindergarten sister of Mrs R A Cushman will open a six week term in the city for children aged 3 to 7. She will meet parents Wednesday morning at 9 in the parlors of the Methodist church.

In Petersburg Indiana a cat of Carl Brock six miles west of town birthed kittens about two weeks ago. While foraging for food the cat caught a rabbit and brought it home. The mother cat then adopted the rabbit, caring for it as if it were a kitten.
Kindergartens in Crawfordsville Indiana will open a six week program starting June 23. Children aged 3 to 7 may register at First M E Church parlors next Wednesday at 9 o'clock in the morning. 122-1td.
Washington June 22. Rail road brotherhood heads and government officials appeal to President Wilson to act to save the railroads from a major tie-up. Wilson expected to issue an ultimatum and order DOJ to prosecute leaders of outlaw strikes linked to a Chicago convention. Union and railroad leaders confer with John Barton Payne but fail to agree.
The Redpath company launches a full chautauqua campaign in Gibson county with a new tent and comfortable seating. The opening day features Sybil Stammis Singers in concert and a lecture by Dr. H. Rempel titled Facing the Task. Tickets go on sale at city businesses with broad access to season passes.
In Frankfort Indiana on Sunday morning a quarrel over a removed line fence led to the shooting death of Andrew J Henderson age 60 a local teamster. Clarence Eskbridge age 35 a Clover Leaf fireman and neighbor fired five times with two bullets striking Henderson in the forearm and lung. Henderson died within minutes.
While parents Thomas Walker and his wife shopped for groceries, their sons George 11 and Russell 8 were left at home four miles west of Bloomington. Russell found a .38 caliber revolver and, playing with it, pointed it at George and pulled the trigger. The bullet struck George in the head and killed him instantly.
