The city board of health warned on Monday that prosecution would follow if weeds were not cut on premises near the Chautauqua grounds. By Tuesday workers were seen cleaning outlots in the area as inspectors press for clean, well kept lots. The board urges all nearby property owners to weed and tidy their lots within days to avoid penalties.
In a Monday evening ceremony at the Broadway Christian church east Clark street, Miss Mary Emma Johnson wed Cecil Byrum. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Johnson of 1214 South Johnson Street, and the groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Byrum of 529 East State Street, a well known horseshoer. The couple, both well known in the city, will reside here and are wished many happy years.
