Shriners Headed to Indianapolis Convention from Gibson County
A large Gibson county Shriners delegation led by Mr and Mrs Harry Myers and other couples left by special train to the Indianapolis State convention. The Evansville area bands and delegations joined en route as Indianapolis papers predict a busy week with hundreds of delegates arriving. The Gibson County list includes 40 named members and spouses headed for the gathering.

Returned Yank Sails To Camp Devens
Mrs. James Jennings of West Emerson Street received a telegram from the Salvation Army in Boston stating her son Harry Jennings has arrived in the United States and is being sent to Camp Devens Massachusetts. He is a former member of Company M and has served about two years. He sailed last fall and was placed in an engineer outfit after arriving overseas.

Odd Fellows Hold Memorial Service in City Hall

John W Angle Civil War veteran dies after brief illness
John W Angle longtime Princeton resident and Civil War veteran died at 6 am after a brief illness following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services are Tuesday at 4 pm at his east Glendale street home, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery and Archer Post G A R in attendance. Angle, born September 29 1837 in Franklin County Virginia, served in Co K 17th Kentucky Infantry and fought at Fort Donelson Shiloh Chickamauga Mission Ridge Atlanta and with Sherman and Thomas armies. He married Martha Mitchell in 1862 and later Sarah Isaacs. survivors include five children and many grandchildren.
