Must Rebuild River Trestle After Wabash Accident

The Public Service Commission orders the Big Four to reconstruct the weakened trestle on the Indiana side leading to the Wabash steel bridge below Vincennes on the Vincennes to St Francisville line. The February flood collapsed the trestle, sending a passenger engine into the water and killing engineer Otto Hazelton. The company must file monthly reports, patrol and inspect the trestle during high water. Hazelton formerly resided in Washington.
