Four people bitten are to travel to Indianapolis for Pasteur treatment as city and county health authorities issue a drastic order to prevent disease spread. Fred Miller of Baldwin Heights denies ownership of the dog and any bite claims, while investigators believe the dog belonged to him and race to identify a responsible party.
A rabies infected hound belonging to Fred Miller of Baldwin Heights was shot by Sheriff Flowers after attacking dogs and people. Two bitten residents were sent to Indianapolis for Pasteur treatment as authorities order all attacked animals killed or confined for thirty days.
Evansville Indiana December 28 The Vanderburgh Democratic club announced the Jackson day banquet will be held Saturday night January 1 due to January 1 falling on a Sunday The main speakers will be the Democratic mayors of Rockport Boonville Princeton Mt Vernon and other pocket cities elected in November A committee chaired by Judge Ireland John Spencer Jr Mrs Lloyd B Thomas and Mrs George Stockfelt is lining up speakers including several women with brief snappy speeches expected.

Two horses belonging to Oscar Bottom northeast of the city died after eating rotten fodder. Walter S. Watt also lost a horse to fodder poisoning in recent days. A warning urges caution in feeding fodder to horses and other stock.

Indianapolis woman Florence Simmons, 21, told police she shot her husband James Simmons, 30, four times after he threatened her life and as she learned her father was dying. She said he attacked with a revolver. she grabbed the gun, fired during a struggle, and then surrendered.
