Patora Lodge held their annual officer election Friday night with Claud Wiss as Master, Sy Wardens McCrea and Trier Warder, Bertin as treasurer, and Albert Kurpley as Senior Deacon. Owensville, Dec 27 Special to The Democrat Jdhves Marvel 67 was ground to death at five oclock Saturday morning under the wheels of the Mt Vernon branch southbound train one mile south of Owensville Marvel a deaf turner farmer living at Mounts Tie was walking toward the approaching train his family said his ear lowered and he did not hear the danger until the train was upon him train crew tried to stop the locomotive but could not Marvel was married and divorced with no children surviving his brother Samuel Marvel of south of Owensville identified the body by shrouded clothing Coroner A H Rhodes of Princeton viewed the remains Funeral plans were not announced.
