An advertisement praises Stephens Princeton store as a place with sixteen courteous saleswomen serving customers for years. It touts practical gifts like silk undergarments hosiery gloves and coats and promises tasteful wrapping and affordable options to please women and avoid sarcasm or grimaces.
A fire in a basement along Seminary Street was discovered around 3 PM Monday and confined between walls. Flames from furnace pipes caused panic but timely intervention likely saved the building. damage estimated at 25 dollars.
A farmers institute will be held Saturday January 3 in connection with a corn show. Principal speakers are R L Thompson of Topeka Kansas and Mrs Oliver Kline of Huntington Indiana. Sessions cover advantages of pure sound seed and women's role in production with afternoon talks on Indiana in the reconstruction era and marketing farm produce. Mrs Kline focuses on poultry dairying strawberries pickles and home grounds embellishment.

Grocer C. E. Mossman received a letter from States Attorney Lowell B. Smith of Sycamore Michigan about Joseph Linden being convicted for a garage robbery in Sycamore in the past. Linden, captured in 1900 with Norton and Jones, was part of the Owensville bank raid and later served five years.
Churches in the city and county plan Christmas Eve events featuring a big tree and Santa Claus. St Joseph church on Race Street will host Tuesday night activities with songs recitations and a children’s treat. Heights Chapel near the city will hold its program Wednesday night.

Iucius Will, a 1 year old boy, was thrown from a motorcycle on a newly surfaced gravel stretch south of the city. He suffered facial injuries and bruises, was found unconscious by Hor ace Hitch and party, placed in a Holte mobile, and taken to a local physician. No bones were broken and he is expected to recover in a few days. Home listed as 212 South Seminary Street.
N J Dee reports bail set for Charles White at 7500 dollars and Kilith Jones at 2500 as relatives gather for a habeas corpus hearing before D C Black in May's Landing court house at 12 thirty. In Gibson circuit court Judge Robinson of Evansville dismissed the Herbick A. Taylor versus Clarence A. Hartley et al case of Warrick county over coal title.
