McAdoo Circulates Liberty Loan Funds Amid Extra Payments
Secretary McAdoo announced a plan to circulate nearly 2 billion dollars in excess Liberty Loan funds. He called in 300 million and 400 million certificates maturing December to be redeemed in early December at par with accrued interest. Subscriptions for new certificates to counter tax effects have been generous though totals were not disclosed.
