James Henry Phillips died at 4 p m Tuesday at his home six miles northeast of the city after years of illness including paralysis and blood poisoning He was 78 funeral at 10 30 a m Thursday at Decker church with Rev McRoberts burial in Decker Cemetery He leaves a widow five daughters Mrs George Blaize Mrs Marion Hunt Mrs Joseph Kolb Mrs Charles Sanders and two sons Albert and John Phillips plus three sisters Mrs John Sloan Mrs George Hayes and Mrs Theodore Boswell He was highly esteemed in the community where he had resided many years.
