On the Big Four bridge in Louisville Indiana three interurban cars collided in fog 100 feet above the Ohio River. Seven passengers sustained serious injuries and rescuers formed a human chain to reach trapped riders including a Jeffersonville dental student and several Jeffersonville residents.

In Indianapolis Tud., Tec. 1 Judge A B Anderson sentenced four liquor law violators after a withering rebuke. Stanley Terry of Bedford received 1600 fine and two concurrent jail terms six months and one year. Rupert Glymps of Bedford drew eight months and 500 dollars fine plus two months extra for falsehood. Fred Freeman of Bedford got 500 dollars fine and eight months. Lee Talmadge of Anderson was fined 500 dollars and seven months. The judge called them men who did not care for the law and singled Glymps for lying, adding two months to his sentence.

A Houston blaze in the Capitol Hotel and surrounding buildings caused $300000 in damage. Three bodies were recovered from the ruins while sixteen were unaccounted for.
