Four to five thousand attendees marked the Hazleton bridge dedication as thousands of cars arrived from Indiana and neighboring states. Governor McCray and numerous officials toured the structure while Terre Haute Evansville Vincennes and other delegations joined. the event featured a French 75 salute, speeches by state and local leaders, and strong highway department coordination.

Traffic over the Hazleton bridge was halted again to allow the highway department to repair the north embankment after heavy rains caused earth settlement. The south concrete pavement will not host trucks until late in the month even if the embankment is stabilized.

Ten Die in New Mexico Blizzard After Snowbound Night
