Indianapolis Dec 10 Indications point to a satisfactory settlement of the receivership of the Consolidated Realty and Theaters corporation with Fred A Sims as receiver. He said overheads were cut and nearly all properties were profitable. The Pantheon theater at Vincennes was sold back to the original owners after being deemed undesirable. Properties in Evansville Terre Haute Kokomo Fort Wayne and Clinfim and other cities are gradually returning to a paying basis.

Investigations will focus on responsibility for the crash of the New York Central 20th Limited near Eaie Pa. Nine people died and several were injured when the train in three sections collided after fog and rain. Officials including Erie railroad, interstate commerce agents, and the county coroner will probe the causes. W D Donovan, New Haven baseball official, among the dead, and a stalled automobile at a crossing preceded the impact. The crash involved a third section pushing into a standing section at the crossing and three sections entangled.

Mrs. Mary Emaretta Finney 60, wife of Samuel Finney, died Saturday at 9:15 PM at home 320 South Gibson Street after a yearlong illness. She underwent a March operation at Mayo Bros. hospital but never recovered. Funeral Monday 2:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church, interment Maple Hill Cemetery. Born September 4, 1863, she married Samuel Figney November 8, 1880. two children Flora Wilson and Earl Finney. survived by four grandchildren, one sister Cora Hialfacre, one brother John Spence. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.

Charities Body Opens Year With Plans And Bureau
The Associated Charity Workers met at the County Agent's office for the first time this year. Mrs. M. P. Hollingsworth was named chairman and Mrs. J. R. McGregor as secretary and treasurer. The group invites clubs and organizations to cooperate and requests donations of money clothing or other items for distribution to the needy.
