Frank Debord of Francisco sues Walter E. Cox, superintendent of the Francisco Mining Co., for 5250 damages claiming Cox shot him. Debord alleges back wound and medical costs totaling 5750. Cox was acquitted in Gibson Circuit Court on a self defense plea after testifying about fearing a second mob.

Word reached Hazleton today of the death of Miss Belle Elliott about 45 at the Masonic Home in Franklin Indiana Thursday night. Death was due to heart trouble and the body will be brought home to Hazleton for burial. She leaves her parents Mr and Mrs Joseph Elliott four sisters and five brothers.

Enos Company Opens Large Strip Mine Operations

Girls Injured In Collision Near Ft Branch
A Ford sedan driven by Elsie Rahn and Viola Rahn daughters of Rev A D Rahn was struck by a county road repair truck one mile east of Ft Branch Thursday afternoon. Both girls suffered minor injuries with Elsie cut on the face and Viola bruised. The driver of the truck could not be identified. The Ford sustained heavy damage and was towed home for repairs.
