Champ Weir was fined one dollar and costs before Mayor Head on cruelty to animals charges after a horse unfit for work he used was killed by the humane officer. The fine was stayed. AW members of the G. A. R. are asked to attend a meeting Thursday at 7 pm for officer elections.
Dr. Alex Marvel of Owensville traveled to Indianapolis Tuesday night to attend the State Veterinary Association meeting in session there Wednesday and Thursday. He was joined by Dr. D A Davidson who will also attend the event.
The District Deputies of the Odd Fellows Lodges of this district will meet here Saturday afternoon December 1 and a number of visitors are expected.
An election is scheduled at the hall on Thursday afternoon at 2 o clock. All members are urged to attend promptly.
