A local promotional note advertises toothbrushes from Shop taughs promising better quality at the same price as other stores with a guarantee on every brush. The message emphasizes universal superiority of their affordable brushes.
Secretary Lansing announced that German Ambassador Bernstorff is informed that Captain Boy Ed naval attache and Captain Von Papen military attache are persona non grata. The German government is asked to withdraw the two men from the United States amid prior Kraft propaganda ties and a controversial letter linked to Archibald case. The recall had been rumored for some time.
The Princeton merchants announce a free matinee for out of town visitors tomorrow at the New Star theater to kick off the holiday season. Stores rush to display Christmas goods as shoppers flood in from today through the year’s start. Full details appear on page six.
Mrs Welzie Woods, Mrs Charles Douglas and two children Opal and Daisy Rumble were thrown from a buggy when a frightened horse bolted near Francisco Indiana. Mrs Woods suffered two broken ribs and possible internal injuries while the others escaped harm. The group was returning from school when the accident happened.
At a special council meeting a vote of thanks was given to the Evansville fire department and the C. & E. J. Railroad Co. for quickly handling Thursday morning fire threats to the Hotel Kidd in Princeton. Repairs will start after insurance adjusters finish, with south wing closed until completion. one victim, J. W. Bodhe, taken to Terre Haute for funeral.
A jury heard a circuit court case the state extels Robina Russell v William Hughes and others. The suit seeks damages from a saloonkeeper at Haubstadt connected to a man fined for intoxication and jailed. Witness Robina Woody presented testimony in the matter.
Bryan May join European peace mission after 160 passport applications flood in. The State Department filed Henry Ford’s formal application via Theodore DeLavigne, with 15 from New York. Bryan met Ford at the Biltmore. he said he may board later, not sailing now.

The Mount Olympus lecture course begins Friday evening December 10 with Colia Anson Talbott a popular Lyceum comedian and reader. Talbott in his thirteenth season has delighted over three thousand audiences nationwide. His act blends wit pathos and charm in a night considered a strong attractor for the community.
