Charles Van Meter, 24, of Francisco, is in Indianapolis custody on forgery charges totaling about 1500 dollars. Deputies say he forged checks using his father's name on Francisco and Princeton banks. He was tracked through Kentucky to Evansville and Louisville before arrest. Also noted: Doyle Red Gayer received a suspended sentence of two to fourteen years for check-raising, with conditions set by Judge Baltzell.

Man Wanted for Desertion Held by Indiana Deputy
