Dayton Ohio August 24 Governor James M Cox declared he would prove charges that Republicans seek a fifteen million dollar campaign fund when he speaks in Pittsburgh next Thursday night He said the Republican candidate is unaware of many developments and planned his Pittsburgh talk as a reply to the Senate campaign investigating committee He was also preparing speeches for Princeton Indiana and Evansville the following day.
New York Aug 24 The Republican national funds raised since Senator Hardike's nomination total $944 353 82 according to Frederick Upham national treasurer. He notes this is cash on hand with about 100 000 in pledges outstanding and confirms the national budget is $3 000 000.
Ed Williams a 45 year old rural mail carrier living on East Oak street reportedly took a two grain Paris green capsule in a despondent act to end his life.
