In Oakland city on August 17 special report, Cecil Sharpe and Victor Black will be buried in a Wednesday afternoon service at Ayrshire church. A double funeral is planned as Coroner Kingan of Pike county asserts the youths were murdered.
Coroner and deputy coroner return from Maren with inquest findings into the deaths of Cecil Sharpe 19 and Victor Black 19 found on the Southern railroad track east of Maren. They urged a full murder investigation as Sheriff Bryan and Prosecuting Attorney Kreig pursue leads and potential arrests.
Tennessee House debate over the federal suffrage amendment stalls 52 to 45 as anti-ratificationists push adjournment. Gov Cox set to speak at Princeton First District rally August 25 with arrival from Evansville on a special train and a full day of events including bands, floats, and children's choruses.
Mrs Olive B Lewis state Democratic party women organizer attended the rally day committeemen meeting in the city Monday en route to Corydon Indiana. She urged women to join Democrats noting ballot gains and 50 50 parity in conventions while Republican women lacked such privileges. Her city visit was a surprise to many attendees. She previously spoke for suffrage in Princeton two years ago from an automobile on a street corner.
The Gibson County Board of Review on Saturday voted 3 to 2 to keep the horizontal assessment as is. The decision, supported by the three Republican members, was to be certified to the state board today by Auditor Armstrong.
Mrs. Lucy Upton aged 60 of Oatsville married her divorced husband George W. Upton 65 a farmer near Oakland City today in a ceremony conducted by a justice of the peace The pair had been divorced about five years ago and renewed their courtship prior to the wedding in the justice office.
The Democratic drum corps of 1912 will meet at 7 30 PM Wednesday at the boy scout headquarters near Null's grocery store. Charles Skelton, former corps director, calls for old members with drums and sticks to rehearse for a prominent parade spot.
Neighbors alerted police Sunday night after a light appeared in the Cato basement while the family was away at Evansville. A prowler was seen at the doorway and left saying he merely wanted to know who took the slop from the house. No theft was found after a search.
The largest deaf mutes colony in the United States from Akron Ohio will send a delegation of about 1200 workers to the National Association of the Deaf convention in Detroit August 5 to 14. About 5000 deaf attendees from across the country are expected. eastern delegates will pass through Akron and be entertained by the Goodyear silent colony.

Oliver Farmer son of E and Farmer living near Francisco was seriously injured this afternoon when his automobile was struck at a road crossing near Douglas Station by an east bound Southern train. The accident details are not learned and he is reported not expected to live.

Ray Chapman 29, Cleveland shortstop, died from a fractured skull after being hit by a pitch from New York Yankees pitcher Carl Mays during yesterday's game at the Polo Grounds. Today's Yankees Indians game was canceled in his honor. Chapman, born in Owensboro Kentucky, debuted in 1910 and lived in Illinois.
Alva Levi and G E Daugherty reported for Princeton Rotary at the Tuesday noon meeting in Hotel Kidd dining room. Members plan a trip to Evansville to join a boat trip for the August 31 Owensboro convention and expect a entertaining Rotary day with Owensboro hosts.
