The First Indiana Field Artillery comprises Batteries A C and D from Indianapolis Lafayette and Fort Wayne with Major Guy Wainwright in command and the Second Battalion led by Major S. J. Carter including Batteries B FH Indianapolis and Bloomington. Officials declare the Indiana units the equal of any in the country. Batteries A C and D served on the Mexican border last year.
London news reports that the allied nations agreed no passports be issued to socialists seeking to attend the Stockholm peace conference. Andrew Bonar Law announced in Parliament that the United States France and Italy join England in withholding attendance permits. Premier Kerensky opposes the session and it is unclear if Russian delegates will be denied. Arthur Henderson attacked Lloyd George in Commons after resigning from the British cabinet.

A shipment intended for another town remains unaddressed while Mrs. George G. Padgett oversees the shop and aims to restore operation. Many women have signaled interest in the course, and officials expect a large class to begin once the program starts.
