Auto and Train Collision Kills Driver Near Grayville
Harry Materly, 26, of Mt. Carmel was killed when his car was struck by an I C passenger train near Grayville at 11 a m. Victor C Dorney, 50, also of Mt Carmel, was injured critically. Materly attempted to beat the train at the crossing. Materly’s wife and a newborn baby survived, wife in serious condition. Dorney has a wife and one child.

Mrs Mary A Wild of Barton township via attorney Henry Kiste sues in circuit court for 1009 dollars under a Woodmen of The World life policy. The insured, her husband, was killed by their son Elba Wild last December after arriving drunk and attempting to kill his wife, the mother. Memorial hotel planned to honor Hannah Fuchs in Cannelton
